I shave when I want to. I work out of my home and will usually on shave on consecutive days when I am meeting with a client or in a situation where I need to have a clean shaven face. That means that I will sometimes shave a couple days in a row and at other times maybe not for 2 to 3 days.

My situation exactly.

Daily is best for me. A few times a year I grow a 3-4 weeks beard and the few days after shaving it off are the only time I ever really get any irritation. I think I notice this to a lesser extent when missing just a few days. Some chappies can only shave ever other day, and I can imagine that not being uncommon; I myself could't shave twice a day without 'issues' (mental & physical) and likewise we all likely have a minimum recupery time.
